In addition to the Self-Guided Tour map provided to each guest at the time of admission, the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse provides visitors with the opportunity to participate in a number of guided tours. Led by the Association's knowledgeable staff and volunteers, guided tours provide guests the opportunity to explore the historic Light Station and Museum in a unique, entertaining, and interactive setting. Tour guides will lead you on a fascinating journey into the past as they discuss the unique history of this National Historic Landmark and discuss what it was like to live and work here those many years ago. There are many tour options available. The type of tour most appropriate for you depends on several factors including the type, size, and age of your group.
Educational tours are available to all Volusia County Public School groups free of charge throughout the academic school year. General group rates apply to all non-Volusia County and private school groups. Educational tours are provided to school groups grades 2 through 12. Educational tours are usually 1.5 to 2 hours in length. Teachers wishing to expand their tour may choose to participate in one of the Association's add-on activities if time permits.
