What to Do on the Day of Your Visit

Late Arrivals:

  • As a courtesy, please contact the Lighthouse at (386) 761-1821 to inform us if you are running late. Notification will allow us to modify our volunteer schedule and avoid unnecessary confusion.

Bus Parking:

  • Designated bus parking spaces are located in our upper lot. Please notify Bob Callister at (386) 761-1821 ext. 18 if you intend to bring more than three buses during you visit to allow for additional parking arrangements.

Upon Arrival:

  • Students and chaperones should remain on the bus until Lighthouse staff arrive to greet you. If you are unable to remain on the bus, please separate students according to their assigned groups.

  • Wrist bands will be distributed to all groups by their tour guides along with a brief introduction to the Ponce Inlet Light Station.

  • All backpacks, food, and drinks should be left on the bus. Water fountains are located conveniently throughout the Lighthouse facility for visitor use. Please notify staff of any medical conditions requiring the above items.

  • Restroom facilities will be available for group use prior to their tour if needed.

  • Payments (if applicable to your group) should be taken to the Gift Shop prior to the tour. Please have the following information ready at time of payment:
    • An accurate head count of all participating students and adults in attendance.
    • Total payment for amount owed (cash, check, credit card accepted).
    • Note: Students and adults may not pay individually and receive the discounted rate.

After the Tour:

  • Students may visit the Lighthouse Gift Shop at the conclusion of their tour. Students must be escorted by a chaperone while in the Gift Shop.

  • Please complete the “School Tour Evaluation” (given to you when you checked in), and return it in the stamped envelope provided.

Please contact Bob Callister at (386) 761-1821 or via email at bobcallister@ponceinlet.org regarding any additional questions or concerns regarding your visit.
