Directions to the Lighthouse

Situated at the southern tip of the barrier island separating the Halifax River from the Atlantic Ocean, the Ponce de Leon Inlet Light Station is located less than two hours away from Orlando, historic St. Augustine, and Cape Canaveral, making it an ideal destination for groups based in Volusia and neighboring counties.

Please refer to the following list of directions to find the easiest route to the Light Station from your location.

• From A1A, north of New Smyrna:
  Drive south on Atlantic Avenue to Dunlawton Avenue. Continue south another six miles to the stop sign at Beach Street in Ponce Inlet. Turn right on Beach Street and then left onto South Peninsula Drive. The Lighthouse parking lot is located two blocks south on left hand side of the road.
• From US-1/Ridgewood Avenue:
  Take U.S. 1 to Port Orange. Turn east onto Dunlawton Avenue and across the Halifax River into Daytona Beach Shores. Turn right onto South Atlantic Avenue and continue heading south for approximately six miles to stop sign at intersection of Beach Street. Turn right on Beach Street and then left onto South Peninsula Drive. The Lighthouse parking lot is located two blocks south on left hand side of the road.


• From 1-95:
  Exit I-95 at Port Orange Exit #256 (old exit 85). Turn east onto S.R. 421/Dunlawton Avenue and travel approximately five miles over Halifax River into Daytona Beach Shores. Turn right onto South Atlantic Avenue and continue heading south for approximately six miles to stop sign at intersection of Beach Street. Turn right on Beach Street and then left onto South Peninsula Drive. The Lighthouse parking lot is located two blocks south on left hand side of the road.


• From the I-4 Corridor:
  Take I-95 South exit to Miami from I-4. Exit I-95 at Port Orange Exit #256 (old exit 85). Turn east onto S.R. 421/Dunlawton Avenue and travel approximately five miles over Halifax River into Daytona Beach Shores.
  
  Turn right onto South Atlantic Avenue and continue heading south for approximately six miles to stop sign at intersection of Beach Street. Turn right on Beach Street and then left onto South Peninsula Drive. The Lighthouse parking lot is located two blocks south on left hand side of the road.
