Support Us - Five Ways to Give
There are many ways to support the ongoing preservation, restoration, and educational efforts of the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse Preservation Association. Please review the following programs to decide which are the best for you. Thank you for your support.
1) Memorial Bricks: Step Into History with Your Support
Help us maintain the historic Ponce de Leon Inlet Light Station by participating in the Memorial Brick Program. Memorial bricks are a wonderful and meaningful way to honor loved ones and to celebrate birthdays, weddings, special events, and family vacations. Proceeds from the purchase of your personalized brick will help fund ongoing restoration and preservation efforts, educational programming, and exhibit development at the Lighthouse. Each brick features a laser engraved image of the Ponce Inlet Light Station logo and up to three lines of text. Bricks will be installed in the Light Station's Memorial Walkway for perpetuity. Full and miniature sized duplicate bricks are also available for display in your home and office. Individual interested in purchasing a memorial brick online may do so at lighthouselocker.org.
2) Endowment Funds: Investing in the Future
Thanks to the tireless efforts of the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse Preservation Association this once dilapidated facility is now considered one of the preeminent Light Stations in the country. As state assistance declines and the cost of restoration and maintenance rises, the importance of ongoing financial support from the private sector could not be greater. Only through the generosity of its members, corporate sponsors, and museum visitors can the Association continue its ongoing effort to preserve and interpret this National Historic Landmark.
Many of these members and visitors realize that the Association's strength in the future depends on building a foundation through endowment today.
Endowment Fund capital, which is held in perpetuity, protects the Light Station by providing financial security for long-term preservation, operations, and museum growth. Cash, stocks, mutual funds and real estate are all donor options. Please contact Preservation Association staff via email at email@example.com or by phone at (386) 761-1821 for more information about the Endowment Fund. Members enjoy many benefits including: free admission to the Lighthouse and Museum throughout the year, discounts on gift shop merchandise, a subscription to the Preservation Association's quarterly newsletter, invitations to members-only events at the Lighthouse and more depending on level of membership. All membership proceeds help finance the ongoing efforts of the Association to preserve and disseminate the maritime and social history of the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse. Individuals wishing to become a member may do so online or by mail.
5) Volunteer at the Lighthouse
Becoming a Lighthouse Volunteer is one of the most valuable and effective ways to give. Established nearly 40 years ago by a group of Ponce Inlet residents, the Preservation Association would have never succeeded in saving this once dilapidated light station if not for the tireless efforts of its volunteers. Over the years volunteers have donated countless hours to the Association in an effort to help preserve and disseminate the maritime and social history of this important National Historic Landmark.
Volunteers serve as tour guides, lens restorers, educators, program developers, transcriptionists, and more. With volunteer opportunities covering so many areas of expertise there is sure to be something for everyone.
