Woodshed Theatre and Privy Exhibit

The Second Assistant Keeper's family kept wood for their fireplaces and stove in this building. The structure is now home to the museum's introductory video "A Heritage Remembered", a twenty minute video program which introduces Lighthouse guests to the history of the Mosquito (now Ponce de Leon) Inlet Light Station, its resident keepers, and the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse Preservation Association. Available for sale in the Gift Shop and online, this interesting movie was written and produced by the Preservation Association.

On the northeast side of this building, you will find the Second Assistant Keeper's two-seater privy, restored as it was when it served as his family's restroom. All three keepers' dwellings included a similar outbuilding that served as a privy and storage shed.
