August 6th Tuesday at the Tower – Spirit of the Greatest Generation 11:00am
Visit the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse and catch the spirit of ’45! Established by Congress in 2010, Spirit of ’45 Day coincides with August 14th, 1945; the pivotal date in our nation’s history when President Truman officially declared that World War II had come to an end and when the United States’ assumed the mantle of leadership in rebuilding the post-war world. Special family-oriented activities have been scheduled for museum guests between the hours of 10:30am and 2:30pm including a presentation highlighting the Greatest Generation on the Homefront at 1:00pm.
