Bike Week at the Lighthouse (March 6-14)
Our beautiful Lighthouse never has any shortage of activities to keep anyone entertained and this time of year is no exception! Take a ride down South Atlantic Avenue to one of Bike Week’s favorite destinations! Discover over 130 years of maritime history as you explore one of the nation’s premier lighthouse museums and climb 175 feet to the top of Florida’s tallest lighthouse where spectacular views of the World’s Most Famous Beach, Ponce Inlet, and inland waterways await! The lighthouse and museum are open daily to the public from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM (last admission at 5:00 pm) with special activities scheduled from 10:00 – 2:00 on March 6th-8th and 12th-14th.
Daytona Parasailing

Explore Pre-Historic Florida
Explore one of Florida’s largest pre-historic shell middens at Ponce Preserve Park located a few minutes north of the lighthouse and museum on South Peninsula Drive. Ponce Preserve Municipal Park stretches from the banks of the Halifax River to the Atlantic Ocean. Protecting a cross-section of pristine barrier island habitat, the 41-acre park is located a stone’s throw from the beach where auto racing was born. Ponce amenities include two nature-themed playgrounds, a covered pavilion with picnic tables, a restroom facility, elevated boardwalks, hiking trails, observation towers, and the Green Mound State Archaeological Site. Best of all, admission to Ponce Preserve is free of charge!
