World renowned for its extensive collection of historic Fresnel lenses and lighthouse related artifacts, the Ponce Inlet Light Station has not only earned a well-deserved reputation as one of the best-preserved light stations in the country but also as one of the nation’s preeminent lighthouse museums. Exhibits focusing on the maritime and social history of the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse, US Lighthouse Establishment/Service, and local Florida region can be found throughout the light station’s grounds, inside the facility’s eight historic structures, and within the modern Ayres Davies Lens Exhibit Building.
The Ponce De Leon Inlet Lighthouse Preservation Association is always interested in expanding its collection of lighthouse, maritime, and regional history related artifacts, images, documents, and reference materials.
